We have discontinued our 'Monthly Update' publication.  It has been succeeded by our weekly 'Code Talk', issues come out every Wednesday and include current news items and hot topics.  If you do not receive Code Talk by email, please log into your member profile within My BOINZ to update your details and preferences.

We are on the lookout for additional skilled Building Control Processing Specialists to work as part of the team.   

We operate from three physical offices Waikanae (Head Office), Hastings and Thames but we will accommodate flexible, or work from home, options for the right candidates.  

The main role will be processing building consent applications for our client BCA’s (taking a lead role for a BCA).  You will be processing within our contracted timeframes and will be operating the client BCA processing platform which could be GoGet, Alpha One or paper based.

BOINZ is delighted to have collaborated with Engineering New Zealand in bringing to our membership the CPEng Update Webinar. Engineering New Zealand's Registrar (Veronica Dessein) and Engineering Practice Manager (Martin Pratchett) will present the CPEng review project. They'll discuss the changes the project is making to improve the assessment system.

Flood remediation guidance & the New Zealand Claims Resolution Service

MBIE has published four new pieces of information to help support council staff, homeowners, and building practitioners (including engineers).

The Government also announced the launch of the New Zealand Claims Resolution Service (NZCRS) on Sunday 19 February 2023.

Extensive flooding was reported for Northland and Auckland over the last week leaving thousands of houses damaged by flood water, in most cases contaminated floodwater.
