Some things you need to know before joining

Membership Categories & Accredited Building Surveyor Pathway
- Ensure the membership type you are applying for is accurate and appropriate for your role and organisation type. If you are unsure please contact the National Office on 04 4736002. Click here for further definition of our Membership Types and Associated Fees.
- Membership Pathway for individuals working within the Property Inspection Field: Individuals interested in gaining membership with BOINZ who work in the Property Inspection field are directed to the Accredited Building Surveyors Programme as the only means of attaining membership to practice in property inspection with the Institute. Administration
- Your BOINZ membership will commence upon full and final payment and following Board Approval.
- Your Annual fee will be pro rated based on the month of application through to 31 December.
- If payment is not made within the required 3 month grace period, memberships will cease.
- Until you formally resign your membership (in writing or by email to membership@boinz.org.nz) you are considered a member.
- All memberships are non transferable and non refundable once payment has been received.
Payment Options
- Payment options: select from either Credit Card or Pay on Invoice.
- Credit Card - When you click 'Next' you will be emailed an invoice relating your membership application and then taken to the secure payments page. A 2.5% surcharge will be applied to payments made via credit card. You will also receive a PAID INVOICE when your credit card has been processed.
- Invoice - If you use Order Numbers, please make sure you enter it in the appropriate field before clicking 'Next'. You will then be sent an email invoice relating to your membership application.
- For bulk invoicing of multiple memberships, please email membership@boinz.org.nz , for an application form. These will be manually entered with one invoice created.
- Any new members applying from 07 October 2024 will receive a secondary invoice for their 2025 membership after submitting their application.
