Tier 4 Leadership Position based in Hamilton, New Zealand

Hamilton City Council is searching for a motivated and engaged Team Leader of Inspections who will bring passion, expertise, leadership and innovative thinking to our business.

The Building Control team is responsible for ensuring that Hamilton’s buildings are safe, durable, fit for purpose, and comply with the provisions of the Building Act. It is essential that the Team Leader Building Inspections has proven leadership experience in managing highly experienced building inspectors.

Reporting directly to the Unit Manager you are responsible for meeting technical deliverables, ensuring operational targets are achieved and meeting statutory and regulatory requirements.

While we would like an inspector with management and leadership experience, consideration would be given to:

  • A proven leader in the building construction industry with a desire to gain building inspection qualifications and expertise. 
  • An experienced building inspector with a desire to developleadership skills.
