JUMP TO:
As the result of an internal promotion we have a great opportunity for a people leader with building inspections experience to join our building inspections team. You will lead our committed and hard-working team of 9 who undertake a variety of duties from building inspections and building compliance to the issuing of Code Compliance Certificates for residential and commercial buildings. It's an exciting time to join us following our move to become a fully integrated digital building control service.
Your high level of people and relationship management skills will complement your technical skills and ability to motivate and lead a team, resolve issues, and explain technical information in a way that people can understand. Your strong understanding of construction and design will ensure Nelson’s developments are safe and meet the requirements of the Building Act and Building Code.
Our building unit prides itself on being accredited as a Building Consent Authority and we are constantly striving to improve our processes and procedures. We offer ongoing professional and personal development opportunities and a work culture that is respectful of the balance you are striving for.
