He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are looking for experienced Senior Building Control Processors to join our Project Assessment team who are responsible for all building consent processing. We are currently hiring for our locations across the Auckland Region. This is a senior position providing mentoring and team leader assistance along with processing of building consents for both residential and commercial applications. 

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will need extensive experience in the building industry including experience in a council environment is preferred, minimum processing skill level of category 3 residential and category 1 commercial buildings, a sound knowledge of the Building Act 2004, Building Code and NZS 3604:2011 Timber Framed Buildings, a degree in architecture or diploma in drafting, or some type of equivalent, design side qualification would be accepted or a qualification in physical construction.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with customers, homeowners, developers and consultants alike, good attention to detail and results focused, excellent leadership skills and the proven ability to mentor staff for professional development.

You must have a current New Zealand drivers’ licence.
