Who is Waikato Local Authority Shared Services (WLASS)?

The Waikato Building Consent Group (WBCG) is a cluster of eight Waikato Councils, and is a part of the WLASS family. Our goal is to work together to improve collaboration and consistency in building control functions, processes, and documentation, providing an excellent and consistent customer centric service across the Waikato region.
Each council in the WBCG is a Building Consent Authority (BCA) and to maintain their BCA accreditation Councils must demonstrate that they have the necessary competencies, processes and systems in place to carry out consenting and inspecting duties.
The WBCG achieves this through a collective Quality Management System (QMS).
About the role
The purpose of the newly established Quality and Compliance Manager is to take a leadership role in supporting the Waikato Building Consent Group (WBCG) to maintain their BCA accreditation, achieving a high-performance status through continuous improvement and management of the WBCG Quality Management System.
This is a permanent role but we will also consider a secondment opportunity.
