The Westland District Council is seeking a knowledgeable Quality Office for the Building Consent Authority. You will have an overall understanding of the building industry, and be able to apply your knowledge and experience in monitoring and driving our quality assurance system to ensure accreditation is retained.
Experience in the construction industry is essential and a super eye for detail in documents is a must. An understanding of how to interpret legislation is required as relates to development and/or review of BCA policies and procedures. A working knowledge of the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations would be desirable but not essential if you have had a similar role elsewhere.
This role also provides back up to the building support officer, so excellent customer service and a can do attitude is a must.
