ENTRY TO BCA – PART TWO - Pilot
Entry to BCA Part Two is a mix of classwork and on the job training designed to quickly up skill new recruits to the Building Surveying environment with technical and practical knowledge. The 12-week course consists of 4- 5 days of technical learning per fortnight, accompanied by a week of practical training to embed the knowledge. It has been specifically designed for those who do not require or may not immediately be completing the Diploma to Building Surveying, such as those with existing Regulation 18 qualifications or those that will embark on the Certificate or Diploma courses within a year.
Learning Schedule
Week 1 - Facilitator - Chris Wood- 22 &23 August Building Controls 2 days online
- 24 August Accreditation AM session
- 25 & 26 August Practical application of technical learning on the job
Week 2 - Facilitator - Chris Wood
- 29 & 30 August Processing 1.5 days online
- 31 August Inspection 1 day online
- 1 & 2 September Practical application of technical learning on the job
Week 3 - Facilitator - Peter Downey
- 5,6,7,8 September Plumbing and Drainage 4 days online or face to face in Palmerston North
Week 4
- 12-16 September Practical application of technical learning on the job
Week 5 - Facilitator - Chris Wood
- 19,20,21 September Structure - 3604 and Light steel framing 3 days online
- 26 September D1 Acess & F1 Saftey of Users 1 day online
- 27 September H1 Energy Efficiency 1 day online
- 28,29,30 September - Practical application of technical learning on the job
- 3 & 4 October Beginner Fire Documents 2 days - Trent Fearnely online or face to face in Palmerston North
- 5 October Practical application of technical learning on the job
- 6 & 7 October B2 Durability - Chris Randell 2 days online
- 10 & 11 October E2 Weathertightness 2 days online
- 12,13,14 October Practical application of techincal learning on the job
- 17-21 October Practical application of technical learning on the job
- 26 & 27 October Services and Facilities 2 days online
- 31 October - 4 November Case Study work - Mentor Chris Wood available as requested
- DATE TBC - Graduation and presentation of case studies.
14 Courses - 22 days of technical learning - 88 CPD points - Outcome R1 Competency ( R2-R3 overview)
Over $13000.00 ex GST worth of training (at a membership price)
PILOT COURSE MEMBER SPECIAL $6,000. ex GST
Non member rate $9,500.00 ex GST
