About The Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Processing Team Leader to lead our processing function and support a high-performing team in our Auckland Branch.

In this role, you will lead and develop the Processing Team, ensuring strong leadership, accountability, and consistent performance. You will oversee the delivery of processing services, ensuring work is completed efficiently, meets KPIs, and maintains high standards of quality and compliance.

A large part of this role will involve supporting the ongoing development of the team, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement and business growth. Monitoring performance and driving accountability across the team will be key to success in this position.

About You

We want you to be successful in this role, to do this you must have a minimum of 5 years industry experience, within a Building Related Organisation, as well as previous experience in a Local Government or Central Government Building Function.

You will also have a qualification to ensure compliance with BCA Regulation 18, alongside:

  • A strong background in a leadership role, within a Building Related Organisation within New Zealand
  •  Solid working knowledge of the Building Act and Local Government legislation
  • Strong ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, supported by excellent communication and networking skills
  • Experience undertaking both procedural and technical processing audits
  • Competency in Residential categories R1-R3
  • Competency in Commercial processing categories is highly desirable but not essential
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
