Quality Assurance Coordinator

This role coordinates and performs internal audits and compiles the required documentation, responses for external audits to maintain Building Control Authority (BCA) accreditation. You will be a leader in maintaining policies, procedures and systems that comply with the accreditation requirements, and ensuring the quality control functions are performed consistently within the Building Control Unit.

A Quality Assurance Coordinator will be focused on:

  • interpreting and applying the requirements of the Building Act, the Accreditation Regulations and other relevant legislation.

  • creating, implementing and ensuring policies, procedures and systems are consistently applied.
  • ensuring document control is managed and maintained constantly and consistently

Building Compliance Officer
While similar to a building consent officer this role focuses on Territorial Authority (TA) functions and responsibilities.

A Building Compliance Officer will be an expert in applying the Act and the Code relating to the following:

  • compliance schedules
  • building warrant of fitness
  • certificate of acceptance
  • notice to fix
  • enforcement actions
  • building complaints
  • assessing situations holistically and or in isolation
