ENTRY TO BCA – PART TWO - Pilot

Entry to BCA Part Two is a mix of classwork and on the job training designed to quickly up skill new recruits to the Building Surveying environment with technical and practical knowledge. The 12-week course consists of 4- 5 days of technical learning per fortnight, accompanied by a week of practical training to embed the knowledge. It has been specifically designed for those who do not require or may not immediately be completing the Diploma to Building Surveying, such as those with existing Regulation 18 qualifications or those that will embark on the Certificate or Diploma courses within a year.

  • 5,6,7,8 September Plumbing and Drainage 4 days online or face to face in Palmerston North

  • 12-16 September Practical application of technical learning on the job

  • 19,20,21 September Structure - 3604 and Light steel framing 3 days online

  • 27 September D1 Access & F1 Safety of Users 1 day online
  • 28 September H1 Energy Efficiency 1 day online
  • 29,30 September - Practical application of technical learning on the job

  • 31 October - 4 November Case Study work - Mentor Chris Wood available as requested

Week 12
  • DATE TBC - Graduation and presentation of case studies.

Please note: There is no homework, all technical learning is done with the facilitator on the day.
