USG Corporation and Boral Gypsum have come together to form a market leader across Asia, Australasia and the Middle East, transforming the two well-known individual companies into a world-leading business - USG Boral Building Products.

The US$1.6 billion 50/50 JV established in March 2014 operates in 12 countries manufacturing and supplying world leading technology products including suspended ceilings, steel stud partitions, new generation plasterboard, plasterboard jointing systems, flooring and roofing boards.

In NZ USG has been manufacturing for over 46 years, primarily DONN Seismic suspended ceilings, plasterboard suspension and batten systems, steel stud partition systems and since the 1990’s supplying Sheetrock brand of plasterboard jointing systems.  With the JV, the NZ business unit now offers the market a broader expanded range of products and systems including full plasterboard options, specialist intertenancy walls such as Partiwall and IntRwall, Fiberock multifunction gypsum fibreboard and Securock roofing board.

For NZBC compliance, products or systems are locally tested or have BRANZ Appraisals and are backed up with full technical support and assistance by teams in NZ, Australia and the USA.
