The Institute is pleased to announce the new President and Vice President for the 2022-2024 term with the election for Peter Laurenson to the position of President once again and Karel Boakes to the Vice President position.

Peter joined the Institute's Board in 2011 gaining the role of President in 2020, along with being a member of the Institute's Audit Committee.  He is currently employed by Auckland Council as Project Assessment Manager (South) within their BCA, having previously held roles within MBIE (Manager Building System Control) and Queenstown Lakes District Council (Building Services Manager).

Karel joined the Board in 2020 and has been a valuable contributor. She is employed by the Manawatu District Council as the Regulatory Manager with 18 years experience working within NZ local government. 

Both Peter and Karel have held active positions within the Institute's Branch network, promoting and developing the skills and knowledge of our members over many years.
