2025 BOINZ Board of Directors Appointments
The 2025 Board elections for the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ) have been held, and the six elected Directors of the Board for 2025/26 year are:
President - Karel Boakes - returning
Vice President - Petet Sparrow - returning
Director – Brent Goldschmidt - returning
Director – Jeff Farrell - returning
Director – Jeff Fahrensohn – returning and re-elected 2025
Director – Denise Whelan – elected 2025
Congratulations to Jeff Fahrensohn and Denise Whelan on their appointment to the Board of Directors. Jeff was re-elected and Denise is a new appointment. Board members sit for a three-year term on a triennial basis.
BOINZ is a Not-for-Profit, charitable organisation, and the peak professional body for Building Surveyors in New Zealand with approximately 1200 members engaged in Building Surveying and Building Controls in both the public and private sectors. The Institute is actively involved in improving the quality and performance of New Zealand built environment through the advocacy for best practice within the sector and education and ongoing training to raise the stakes and to advance the interest of the profession.
