ACRS is the leading and most technically rigorous, internationally-aligned steel certifier to Australian and New Zealand Standards. The ACRS two-stage certification process is unique within Australia and New Zealand, with its independent, not-for-profit approach – working to JAZ-ANZ accreditation – giving users assurance of impartial, expert certification. 

All ACRS assessments and reviews are undertaken by its own qualified and experienced metallurgists and engineers. They conduct eight areas of review on the conformity of steel products to some nineteen applicable Standards. ACRS certificates can be checked on-site in the secure environment of ACRS Cloud app.

ACRS annually certifies over 100 steel producers, issuing over 300 certificates, covering almost 230 production sites, in 28 countries – including to suppliers such as Infrabuild and Bluescope; members of the Steel Reinforcement Institute of Australia; and premium overseas suppliers like Nippon Steel, Posco, and Hyundai.

Building System Delivery and Assurance

MBIE’s Building System Delivery and Assurance team is part of the building regulatory system within MBIE, they focus on Building Consent Authorities and Territorial Authorities, and managing the national multiple use approvals scheme (MultiProof), building product assurance (CodeMark) and the earthquake-prone buildings register. The team also plays a key role in Building Emergency Management and serious building failure investigations.
