General Business:

• New members were welcomed by Bryan Clark.

• TDC having issues with new builds coming into the area with no C.C.C

• BRANZ maps for earthquake, corrosion, wind and climate zones etc are not always correct, in some cases are giving out Information that does not line up with NZS 3604 which is confusing the designers

• Murry Kidd and Aldo Fehr discussed issues arising with IQPs in the area.

Guest Presentation:

Ray Boyd and Singh Kamboj from James Hardies New Zealand presented on:

• Linea Oblique, and demonstrated areas where BCOs should be looking for when on site in regard to compliance.

• Rigid air barriers were discussed in respect to installation and compliance.

• Post Fire Stability was discussed pertaining to framing and hold downs etc.

• New James Hardie Fire & Acoustic floor systems were demonstrated, how they work and the components that make up the whole system.
