Speaker: Maryia Lakansingh

We are delighted to welcome US-based building safety professional Maryia Lackansingh as our guest speaker for the August BOINZ Women's Forum meeting.

Maryia is a Code Specialist III with Fairfax County, Virginia, and currently serves as National Vice President of Women in Code Enforcement and Development (WICED), having previously served as President of the Virginia chapter. She is a passionate advocate for leadership development, accessibility and increasing opportunities for women in the building safety profession.

In recognition of her leadership and contribution to the industry, Maryia was awarded the 2024 Emory R. Rodgers Leadership in Building Safety Fellowship. We look forward to hearing her insights on leadership, career growth and advancing opportunities for women in building safety.
