Guest Presentation:
Daryl Knowler, Potters Interior Systems
Daryl gave a very informative presentation on Potter Industries’ range of passive fire protection products. Potters supply the Boss range of products. Daryl advised that Potters Interior Systems only supply products that are tested to AS/NZS1530. Their products are sold directly rather than through retail outlets. Daryl stressed particularly the importance of using the correct product for a particular situation, that substitutions and mixing and matching with other companies’ products are not acceptable, and that the correct installation of the products is also crucial to their performance.
An item of particular interest is their firebox multi service transit, which can be used only in walls. It is capable of accepting a mixed range of services, and these can be added later as well.
Daryl invited members to contact him for information and if uncertain to confirm whether a product has been used correctly. Daryl also emphasized the importance of requesting compliance data on products being used when carrying out inspections.
The Branch Executive thanked Daryl for his very informative presentation
