TRAINING AND NETWORKING EVENT

Welcome:

Paul Guile the Nelson/Marlborough Branch Secretary welcomed members and guests to the meeting.

Attendance:

Guest speaker: Singh Kamboj, James Hardie Technical Support Manager.

Minutes and Matters Arising:

The Previous meeting was held on the 21st of March 2018 and consisted of a site visit to David Wraight Cottages, a builder of transportable, traditionally constructed quality cottages.

Correspondence In/Out:

Guest Presentation:

Singh Kamboj from James Hardie gave a very informative presentation on James Hardie products, particularly Linea Oblique, rigid air barriers, post fire stability for fire rated walls, James Hardie fire acoustic floor and wall systems, and non-combustible claddings.

General Business:

• There was a very brief discussion about the BOINZ conference.

• Topical issues were discussed, particularly about the K3T panelling and the Tauranga Bella Vista Development.

• Paul asked members to contact him with suggestions of speakers or topics for future meetings.

Next Meeting:

Proposed date for the next Nelson/Marlborough Branch Networking and Training Event is the 21st of August, at Nelson City Council

End of Meeting:

Secretary Paul Guile closed the meeting at 4.50pm thanking Singh for his informative presentation and all attendees for their contribution to the event.
