Minutes of the East Coast Branch Meeting and Training Networking Event
held on Wednesday 26 July 2017 at 3.00pm starting with tour of Central Hawkes Bay Municipal Theatre. Then Branch meeting and training event at Skinny Mulligans Waipawa.
Tony Masmann Assets Manager for the Central Hawkes Bay Council along with Carol-Ann Stubbs Events Manager provided the history and a conducted tour through the Refurbished 107-year-old Central Hawkes Bay Municpal Theatre. Not many present realised that the theatre boosted an International size stage house, a new concert chamber stage, and modern dressing rooms. At the conclusion of the tour the BOINZ members and guests then went to Skinny Mulligans for the Branch meeting and training session.

General Business:
Michael Skelton announced his intention to stand down as Chairman at AGM as he has done two terms, so members were urged to canvas fellow members for nominations. Paul Simmonds reiterated that General Business is for discussion on matters that are likely common to all members and their employer organisations including councils and as such will ensure to get more out of our meetings. Paul Simmonds will email a BOINZ member in each council for a technical subject to start it off for the next meeting. Morrie Blumenthal will prepare a short presentation on the latest in respect of asbestos removal.

Branch Chair thanked Willie for the most informative presentation on waterproofing systems and latest developments, and the new Laminex Strandboard for substrates to decking systems, which was well received by the members and guests present and thanked our guests for attending.
Followed by ARDEX afternoon tea refreshments and networking amongst members and guests and presenters.
