Welcome:
Secretary Paul Guile welcomed members and guests to the meeting. He then thanked our guest speaker for making the special trip from Christchurch to attend the meeting.

Minutes and Matters Arising:
The previous meeting was held on 21st August at Nelson City Council and consisted of a presentation from Daryl Knowler of Potter Interior Systems.

Guest Presentation:
Richard gave a very informative presentation that focused on GIB's Fire Rated Intertenancy walls and Ceiling Systems. This complimented nicely with the presentation from the previous meeting held in August, in which Daryl Knower spoke on Potter Interiors Passive Fire Systems.
Richard then spoke on GIB's new products, this included a new Fire Rated GIB Soundseal which as the name implies can be used for acoustic and fire purposes, a revised Site Guide that was published in September 2018, and a new Fire Rated Systems Guide that will be released before the end of this month and replace the 2012 edition. Richard also touched on the relatively new Barrier Intertenancy System for Terrace Homes
Next Meeting:
This was the last meeting for 2018. The next meeting is expected to be held in February 2019

Chairperson Nick Brabant closed the meeting at 4.15pm and thanked Richard for his very informative presentation
