Guest Presentations: ‘Cladding & Cladding Systems Exhibition’ Facilitated by EBOSS

EBOSS, in collaboration with BOINZ, organised an interactive training session in an exhibition style format with 8 stands from major commercial and residential cladding products currently being installed across the country.

Matthew Duder from EBOSS explained how the day’s event would run, attendees were given a number and broken up into small groups of 5-7 people and encouraged to move from stand to stand, in a speed-dating style format. Each group would spend 8-10 minutes with each stand who were to deliver a brief, yet technical summary of key details about their products.

Matthew then introduced each of the experienced presenters/representatives:

  • Dave Eccles-Hall, Roofing Industries
  • Phil Negus, APL
  • Jonathan Brooks, NZ Brick Distributors
  • Singh Kamboj & Susan Holmes, James Hardie New Zealand
  • Bruce Barclay, Jenkin Align,
  • Richard McGechie, Palliside (Dynex Build)
  • Robyn MacPherson, Stellaria
  • Craig White, Carter Holt Harvey

The presenters had mock-up displays, video displays and/or virtual reality devices that helped identify key industry related issues with use of their products, and clearly identified non-compliant issues with incorrect methods on installation. Each group OF attendees visited 4 stands before breaking for lunch provided by BOINZ.

Following on from lunch, the groups reformed and viewed the final four stands, before a quiz hosted by EBOSS based on the day’s presentations. Prizes were awarded to individuals who recalled correct information from presenters, which were well received by the winners.

Recapping the event, Matthew Duder thanked attendees for co-operating in the smooth running of the event and thanked the presenters for their informative presentations and to briefly summaries the key points from their presentation.
