TA001 COMMUNICATION AND TA003 ETHICS (Two part course)

Communication is a core skill for any Building Control Surveyor. In their day to day work, communications vary widely from one to one, one to group, face to face, telephone and written formats. When a surveyor communicates it must always be effectively, factual and relevant with an emphasis on sound listening and interpretative skills. This course is designed to give participants the knowledge and understanding of good practice in Communication skills.

Ethics is a core skill for any professional determining the behaviours and responses that ensure both personal and corporate credibility and fair dealing. From a Building Control Authority perspective it is an essential tool to minimise risk.

This two courses will cover the theory that underpins policies and ethical practices of a Building Surveyor and local government personnel and also give a good understanding and good practice in communication skills.
