Join the South Waikato District Council's Building team and help meet the building demands of the South Waikato district which is experiencing rapid development growth and consequently an unprecedented building boom. In response, we are expanding our team whether you are a recent graduate or have a background in building construction, building design, consent processing and/or inspections this opportunity is for you.

He kōrero mōu: About you

Ideally having experience in the building industry as well as maintaining successful relationships with clients, their agents and internal teams. You'll be confident dealing with issues and making pragmatic decisions in line with Building Act and Building Code requirements and ideally have familiarity with industry best practice eg building standards and techniques for a variety of buildings. Including cloud-based processing of building consent applications and/or undertaking inspections out in the field.

This role requires a relevant qualification that SWDC may provide assistance in obtaining for the right candidate.
