Knowing the work you do will make a positive impact for generations to come is a great feeling.

When you work at Hutt City Council you have the opportunity to do your bit to create a better city, every day - you can say "I helped make that happen".   From the positive change we see in our community, right through to the continued growth of our region, we're working together to make a difference to the lives of so many people.

Our Environmental Consents Team is seeking a Swimming Pool Officer to oversee and manage the functions and requirements we have for swimming pool barriers and be Council's go to person in this area.

You'll manage the swimming pool register, undertake onsite inspections for compliance and provide advice and guidance to customers online, over the phone and in person.

You'll also process associated documentation in line with the provisions of relevant legislation and ensure the appropriate standards and measures are met, within timeframes.

Working within processes, systems and timeframes is something you'll enjoy and you will know your way around a computer.  An eye for detail and experience providing exceptional customer service and education is also critical to this role.

Experience with the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987 would be advantageous, as would experience with IQP's but isn't essential.

Applications close Monday 30 July 2018.
