With approximately 140 new building consent applications coming through the door each month, our Building team are a busy department!

You will be responsible for advising and assisting clients on building consent matters, particularly relating to plumbing and drainage. Regularly interacting with the public, your ability to build strong relationships and excellent communication skills will get a positive outcome with clients, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

An experienced Inspector would be preferred, however a tradesperson with a background in plumbing or drain laying looking for a change will also be considered! You will have an eye for detail and be familiar with organising your busy day to ensure all deadlines are met. Your ability to make sound decisions and a working knowledge of the Building Act and NZ Building Code will be crucial in these roles.
