Our Building Assurance team put their energy into providing peace of mind to our customers through the delivery of quality building consent processing and inspection services.
This is a hands-on role with a broad mix of field and office work. You will be primarily responsible for liaising with builders and consent holders to ensure that residential and commercial building inspections meet the requirements of the Building Act 2004. You will also be strong on process, pragmatism, and reliability, being able to accurately record inspection information on digital devices and taking appropriate enforcement action, or resolving issues as they arise.
You'll display a strong customer service philosophy and organized approach to your work, ensuring our statutory building timeframes are met. We are a progressive learning organization with a focus on developing staff, so we're looking for someone who will thrive on new opportunities, have a positive outlook, and a can-do attitude within a constantly changing regulatory building environment.
You may come to us with practical experience and a good working knowledge of the building industry and/or have qualifications in building surveying, construction or similar. The ability to interpret and apply a wide range of building statutes and regulations would be advantageous, but we are also happy to train someone with the right attributes.
