The Clutha District Council has a vacancy for a Building Control Officer based in Balclutha.

This position in our building control team has responsibility for all building consents and territorial authority functions. It also involves maintaining good relationships with the building sector and with internal council departments.

Do you have the ability to maintain excellence in a changing environment? A positive practical attitude in dealing with customers and sound judgement is essential. Some experience in building control is desirable, but if you have industry experience and are looking for a change, we'll help you get a sought-after qualification while you work. During this trainee phase, the Building Control Officer salary level is discounted.
