JUMP TO:
Our Building Assurance team are proud contributors to the growth and development within our region. We put all our energy into providing peace of mind through the delivery of building consent and inspection services across the Tasman District.
Our focus is on developing a progressive Building Consent Authority with great people - will you be one of them?
This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for carrying out building inspections, responding to building enquiries from customers and ensuring that technical and enforcement services are carried out in a consistent, fair and timely manner.
There will be a broad mix of field and office work so we need someone with a diverse skill set and the ability to problem solve and think on their feet. Strong on processes, pragmatism and reliability, you will impress us with your desire to learn and ability to maintain a positive outlook with a can do attitude. If you are motivated, self-driven and willing to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are followed through to successful completion we are keen to hear from you!
You will display a strong customer service ethos and organised approach to producing work of a consistently high standard, able to meet statutory timeframes and receive, assess and respond to public complaints, conduct timely investigations and take appropriate actions where issues are identified. As such, you won't shy away from challenges and you'll be a confident decision maker with strong digital literacy and written communication skills.
You may come to us with practical experience and knowledge in the building, construction, trade or similar industry. The ability to interpret and apply a wide range of statutes and regulations within the building environment would be advantageous but we are also happy to train someone that demonstrates the right attributes.
Note: Applicant must have a legal right to work in NZ
