Kaipara District Council has an opportunity for an experienced Building Control Officer to join our Regulatory Building Team based in Mangawhai.

Reporting to the Building Control Team Leader, you will be a key part of a team of 15 people responding to our growing number of applications to construct or modify buildings across the Kaipara district.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

• A relevant qualification to New Zealand Trade Certificate level
• A minimum of five years' experience in the building industry
• Sound knowledge of building industry legislation
• A strong focus on responding to and meeting customer needs
• Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development; and
• Ideally a minimum of two years' experience in building inspections and/or consent processing within a regulatory environment.
