Solutions Team is an overflow resource supplier to many BCA’s and TA's throughout New Zealand.
We process in excess of 8500 Building Consents per year, carry out Building Inspections and support Building Officials with Technical Auditing and Competency Assessments.

We offer the ability to work remotely from home, or in one of our five offices throughout New Zealand, these include, Christchurch (HQ), Wellington, Palmerston North, Auckland, Timaru.
You will be working with a team of highly skilled and well-respected Building Officials.
You will have:
- Fantastic communication skills
- Willing to go the extra mile for customers
- Advanced current working knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and Building Act.
- NZ tertiary qualification in architecture/drafting or building construction
- Current experience processing or inspecting residential or commercial projects for compliance with consent and code requirements.
- Good computer knowledge as we process plans electronically and/or use mobile technology for inspections.

Building Consent Officers/Inspectors:
The preferred candidate will be a well-respected and knowledgeable Building Official and require technical competencies and experience in assessing applications or performing inspections preferably with a competency level of Residential 1 to Residential 3, and/or Commercial 1 to Commercial 3, or relevant experience in a similar role.
You will have good process orientation with an ability to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills to promote continued business improvement. Computer literacy skills will be visible through the production of reports, monitoring and reviewing of statistical information, and research of applications.
Quality Assurance Team Members:
The preferred candidate will be a well-respected and knowledgeable BCA / TA Manager with a focus and passion for BCA Accreditation. The role would require expert level knowledge of BCA regulations to be a lead and a driving force in the industry. A high level of engagement and collaborative working relationship with MBIE and IANZ is required. The role can allow for a variety of functions to be integrated within it including TA Management as well as technical functions.
Competency Assessors:
This role provides a variety of work, the opportunity to help and work with BCA’s nationwide and the ability to expand your technical knowledge and professional development.
The preferred candidate will require technical competencies and experience in processing Building Consent applications and/or performing inspections preferably with a competency level of Residential 1 to Residential 3, and/or Commercial 1 to Commercial 3, or relevant experience in a similar role within the construction sector. NCAS Appendix 2 would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
