Our busy Building team is needing help with customer service, processing Code Compliance certificates, delivering BCA Quality assurance administration and general administration support.  Our community needs building services delivered fast and efficiently – can you help?  The Hurunui District Council have a Building Administration Officer vacancy that needs to be filled asap so apply now.  This permanent fulltime position is based in Amberley, North Canterbury.

 

We need a person to provide customer service on the telephone and at the front counter, assist with Code of Compliance Certificate processing, co-ordinate site inspections between customers and building officers,  administration of Building WOF’s and Compliance schedules and assist customers with their building projects.  Ideally, we are looking for a person with a good knowledge of the building industry, or who has experience in a regulatory environment.  It is essential that you have a strong commitment to meeting customer needs, have good skills to use information technology, organisational skills and enjoy being part of a team environment.  A good knowledge of the construction industry and legislation would be an advantage but full training will be provided.  In return we offer competitive remuneration, pleasant working conditions and a supportive team environment.
