We are a group of forward thinking professionals who are moving ahead and responding to the opportunities throughout New Zealand. We are a BCA Accredited Organization, we process in-excess of 4000 building consents per year for over 20 Councils throughout NZ, as a result of ongoing demand we are looking to expand our team. Whilst we are based in Christchurch we will consider applicants located throughout New Zealand and who can work remotely and travel regularly. We are looking for a current and qualified Building Official with Competency and Reg 18 qualifications to undertake a variety of interesting work with ongoing professional and personal development opportunities. The ideal candidate would be able to travel to Councils on a weekly basis (Mon to Friday) to perform building inspections. You will be working with a team of 24 highly skilled and competent building officials and Managers. You will need the following: - Good communication skills. - Willing to go the extra mile for customers. - Advanced current working knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and Building Act. - NZ tertiary qualification to comply with Reg 18 of BCA accreditation. - Current experience inspecting or processing residential or commercial projects for compliance with consent requirements. - Good computer knowledge as we process plans electronically and use mobile technology for inspections.
