We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Team Leader to contribute to the leadership of our team of Building Officers. As a passionate Team Leader in this busy role, you will enjoy the challenge and variety that comes with providing services to the public of Palmerston North.
Building Services is the area where competing demands arise most often between regulatory and customer needs. It is the role of the Team Leader to focus the team on achieving win-win solutions by working with customers to proactively identify solution that meets the requirements of all parties.
You will have a demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire and lead a team in providing outstanding service to a diverse range of customers. You will be able to communicate with a wide range of people internally and externally and enjoy working in a team environment. Your skills and abilities in coaching and mentoring, developing technical staff will be put to good use in this team.
To be successful in this role you will have a building-related qualification, be a sound decision-maker, and well-organised. You will also have experience in processing/inspecting up to at least Level R3/C1 Building Consents.
