Building Unit Team - Processing

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Team Leader-Processing to join our Building Team. As a senior member of the Team you are to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring. At all times reinforce with the Team the vision and values of Thames-Coromandel District Council.

The successful candidate will have:

• An appropriate technical qualification relevant to undertaking building control functions
• Assessed, under the National BCA Competency Assessment system as currently competent to process (full range of building categories desirable)
• Demonstrated leadership skills and success in the development of high performing teams
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
• Promote excellent customer service
• Understand the New Zealand building consent regulatory framework, the local government environment, and demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation
