We are looking for an Inspections Officer to join our Building Compliance and Consents team here at Wellington City Council.
The right person to join our inspections team will have a strong understanding of how building sites work and be a motivated team player to ensure we deliver excellent and on-time services to our customers.
The role is engaging, and you'll be challenged with a variety of work. You'll meet new people every day and build relationships with homeowners and building professionals, all to ensure our buildings are built to code.

We are offering a comprehensive training and development plan for someone with an entry level qualification and experience in the building industry that will make you indispensable to both the public and the private sector. We also offer other benefits including five weeks annual leave after two years of continuous service for permanent staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced team where support and camaraderie is paramount. You will also have a keen eye for detail, be an excellent communicator and a 'people' person with excellent customer service ethics.
