The Senior Building Inspector is an advanced technical specialist responsible for providing technical advice to Inspectors and the Team Leader. This will include being involved in conducting field inspections, leading unit projects as well as coaching and assisting other members of the team.

To be successful in this role you will need experience and knowledge in construction and a solid understanding of legislation requirements. However, having the right attitude will be the key to your success. You will need to be an enthusiastic and driven individual, a team player who is committed to delivering excellent customer service. 


To be successful you will need:

·         Background experience, must be building focused 

·         Must be technically proficient and able to undertake technical auditing across the team

·         To be a subject matter expert and have the skill set to effectively share your knowledge and expertise with others

·         This role will also involve creating technical pathways for the team to move up in their competencies 

·         Be capable in handling complaint resolution

Essential competencies required are:

·         RES 1, 2 & 3, and a minimum of COM 1, Ideally COM 1, 2 & 3

·         You must also have a recognised regulation 18 qualification.
