Opportunities are available for individuals with sound processing knowledge and excellent customer service skills to make the job their own. These positions are responsible for providing professional high-quality compliance assessment of building designs for a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
You will hold an Qualification as per regulation 18 of the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006 or be working towards one
You will hold or have had an established competency as per Regulation 10 of the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006
The following skills are preferred;
- Are currently or have worked within a Building Consent Authority (BCA) or similar environment, where you have had specific processing experience.
- Have a broad understanding of the Building Act, New Zealand Building Code and other relevant legislation as relates to the building industry.
- For commercial processing a comprehensive understanding of Compliance Schedules and related specified systems, access and facilities for persons with disabilities would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a substantial workload to meet statutory deadlines.

You will have an aptitude for continuous learning as our industry constantly changes with legislation, product innovation, and changing methods of construction. You will also possess a natural ability when it comes to solving problems and suggesting business improvements.
