Tauranga is still in growth mode and building a city takes a great team. Great opportunities are currently available working within the Building Services division at Tauranga City Council where we are responsible for ensuring buildings are safe for the people living and working in Tauranga. 

We are recruiting for Building Control Officers - Processing including senior positions. These positions are responsible for providing professional high quality compliance assessment of building designs for a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The senior positions involve providing high-level expertise and project management to more complex projects and manages complex issues such as weather tightness, fire design, accessibility and alternative solutions.  This role also offers mentoring and guidance to team members.

We are recruiting now and welcome enquiries from people who may have worked as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Architect, draftsman and have specific Processing experience. What is required is; knowledge of legislation relating to the building industry, and the ability to interpret relevant Building Acts, Codes, Regulations and Acceptance Solutions.

if you meet the qualifications, skills and experience requirements, and are a successful applicant, the remuneration for these positions range from $76,773 to $90,321.00 for the Processor positions and $90,584 to $106,569 for the Senior Processor positions (inclusive of Kiwisaver contributions).
