Building Control Team Leader

We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service and relationship management skills to join our busy building team. In addition to undertaking the building control function, this role also acts as technical lead assisting staff with inspections and building consent processing, providing technical advice to internal and external customers and assisting the Building Control Manager with the day-to-day management, training and upskilling of staff.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

·      A good understanding of the NZ Building Act and regulations and proven experience as a Building Control Officer

·      A qualification in accordance with regulation 18

·      Team leader experience

·      Excellent time management skills

·      Good communication skills with the ability to work with customers and staff to identify solutions for complex situations.
