We put all our energies into providing peace of mind through the delivery of building consent and inspection services across the Tasman District. Our focus is on developing a progressive Building Consent Authority with great people, great attitude and great tools. We like to challenge ourselves to do better - in everything we do.

We are looking to build on our existing strengths and are on the hunt for the right person to take over the leadership of our Building Consents team responsible for processing around 1800 consents annually.

In this senior specialist position, you'll be leading your capable team of 9 by developing and motivating them using your proven leadership skills. As a positive team leader, your ability to coach, supervise, mentor and develop the Building Consents team is vitally important. This is a productive team with lots to achieve, and you will lead the way!

You'll bring to the role a robust knowledge and understanding of relevant building legislation, and a demonstrated ability to develop high performing teams. You will also have a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
