As a building inspector with us at Tauranga City Council you will;

  • Undertake scheduled building inspections ensuring building work complies with the approved consent
  • Determine, document, and record outcomes, and generate inspection reports
  • Review technical information and issue Code Compliance Certificate
  • Provide professional high-quality support for the industry

You will be working within a team of highly skilled professionals and will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the community.  Appropriate experiences or qualifications:

  • Hold an appropriate Reg 18 qualification or are working towards one
  • Are currently or have worked within a Building Consent Authority (BCA) or similar environment
  • Have an understanding of the Building Act, New Zealand Building Code, and other relevant legislation as relates to the building industry
