Advisory Groups

Six Advisory Groups have been formed with the intention of allowing the Institute to effectively advocate for better building outcomes and solutions.

The Advisory Group structure consists of four high calibre member representatives in each of the six specialty areas, supported by National Office. Each group is responsible for generating direction and policy recommendations to the Board. Advisory Groups have the option of canvassing Branch Executive Committee members, or the total membership for opinion to achieve an industry consensus prior to making Board recommendations.  

An important part of the Advisory Group role is to generate and formulate submission material in relation to local and central government policy positions.
