There is a general skills shortage within New Zealand's Construction and Building sector. Building Surveying plays an integral role in the delivery of quality building outcomes. As a sector, Building Surveying is also under resource pressure.
As a result the Institute is committed to a programme that assists individuals who see opportunity and value in a Building Surveying career.
Our answer to this is the development of a nationally consistent cadet programme in conjunction with key stakeholders. This programme will be a natural extension to our work on the National Diplomas in Building Control Surveying and our commitment to developing quality professionals to ensure New Zealand's building stock is compliant with regulatory requirements.
The in-employment study pathway to gaining the new NZ Diploma in Building Surveying (Level 6) is now open for enrolment through our delivery partner Otago Polytechnic. For further information please click here
