Gordon Barratt


Gordon is the director/owner of LGSC Ltd. A design, project management and consultancy company specialising in light steel framing.

Gordon is also the Chairperson of National Association of Steel-framed Housing (NASH) New Zealand and has held that position for the last 12 years.

He is the Chairman of the NASH Technical committee and NASH (NZ) representative on the Australian NASH Technical committee. Both committees are involved in the writing of documents and standards for the industry. 

Gordon formed Frametek (NZ) Ltd in 1997. A company that has grown to be a well-respected manufacturer of steel framing in New Zealand (now known as Frametek 2007 Ltd. He was production manager for the company until late March 2013.

Gordon is also a director/owner of Tek Supplies Ltd who specialise in the supply of thermal break solutions required for the New Zealand building code compliance of light steel frame buildings. 

Gordon has also recently been elected on the board of PrefabNZ. 

Gordon has been involved in the development of the Training Academy's new Light Steel Framing course and we are lucky to have him on board as a facilitator for this course.
