COVID-19 POLICY

From December 3rd 2021, New Zealand moved to the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system).

From this date (3 December 2021), all attendees at all BOINZ courses and events must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be able to show proof of their vaccination status using the MY VACCINE PASS. If you are medically exempt, and hold a My Vaccine Pass you may book as normal.

As an Institute it is our responsibility to ensure we provide a safe space for members and guests to learn and network when attending training and events. In a COVID-19 context, that means we must consider the risk of transmission at every gathering we hold.

By ensuring everyone is vaccinated, we can proceed as normal in a Green or Orange environment. Should an area move to Red it may continue with restrictions on gathering sizes with people adhering to physical distancing requirements. We will approach events/training sessions on a case-by-case basis, liaising with those involved. A link to the NZ COVID-19 Protection framework can be found here.

The key principles of COVID-19 remain the same:

1. Anyone who is sick needs to stay at home

2. Compulsory scanning at venues (always using the COVID-19 Tracer app)

To support the training needs of those unable to be vaccinated for personal or medical reasons, the following year will see an increase in our online learning modules. Where required, these may be supported by online workshops. We anticipate adjusting this model as we determine the need.

In a constantly changing and evolving environment, we appreciate you understanding this position, which has been made with the health and safety of our members at the forefront.
